As with any residential area, we need to take care to ensure we all enjoy living here. Cholsey Meadows is no different to any development in the country!
Bins
There are a large number of Bin Allocation areas, some in the Fairmile Building itself, some in the housing areas of the Fairmile Building and others set in the grounds around the houses. Maintenance of these areas is a constant problem which the CMMC try to tackle as best we can. We try to make sure that all residents know the rules and how to apply them so that we minimise difficulties with vermin. Collections are regular and there is a municipal dump a few miles away at Oakley Wood that residents should use for disposal of items not suitable for the bins.
Please click on the More Information button below to see a map which shows the locations of every bin store.
Parking
Parking is always an issue, particularly with the growing numbers of cars on our roads. All residences, either in the Fairmile Building, or the houses, have allocated parking spots, and there are Visitors’ spaces dotted around the grounds. Please click on the More Information button below to see a map of all Visitors spaces.
Commercial vehicles that will not fit into the allocated spaces are not allowed to be parked in the grounds.
Neighbourhood Policing
The Council are aware of problems that arise on big sites such as ours, and they try to monitor any problems that arise. Occasional meetings are set up so that residents can speak to the police about issues they may have. If you have a concern, please contact our very own Neighbourhood police
Dogs - and their Poo!
Cholsey Meadows is, and has always been, a place where people can walk their dogs. Ferry Lane and the grounds are busy with Doggy People walking dogs and playing with them. Unfortunately, some owners are not as good as others at bagging their pet’s poo, and we are constantly watching to catch offenders. There are two Poo Bins on Ferry Lane and it is legally permitted to put bagged poo into waste bins. Please keep an eye on your dogs and dispose of their poo responsibly!
Cholsey Meadows Map
This map has been designed to help visitors, delivery drivers and contractors locate you. Cholsey Meadows is a bit of a maze to people who don’t live here, or even residents who aren’t familiar with the whole site! Download a pdf file of the map here.
