On Friday 20th March, Our Property Manager met with our Biffa Manager to review our bin collection areas, in particular Howell Court area. The Biffa Manager asked us to clarify with residents the following:
Green Recycling
- NO FOOD of any type
- NO BLACK BAGS or COLOURED BAGS – only CLEAR bags or empty recycling directly into the bin without the bag.
- Supermarket bags may be marked recyclable, however they are not to be put in the Green Recycle bins. You can use the bag to empty the recyclables into the green bin and then put the bag in the Grey bin.
The Biffa Manager confirmed that at the moment they are maintaining collections as scheduled, however there may come a time where they have a lack of personnel given the current changing circumstances when collections will be delayed or interrupted.
It is therefore, even more important, that we are exceptionally careful about putting the correct waste in the correct bin.
Please separate your waste responsibly and place it in the correct bin (not on the floor).
